Founded in 1998, Grace and Peace Foundation was born out of a divine vision placed in the heart of Ambassador (Dr.) Chuwang Davou Chang. Having observed the growing need for intentional leadership development within the Body of Christ, he received a burden to raise, equip, and empower emerging leaders and ministries to serve with fruitfulness, integrity, excellence, and accountability.
What began as a vision to mentor faithful servants of God has grown into a dynamic leadership movement committed to developing Kingdom-minded leaders who will influence churches, organizations, communities, and nations. The Foundation was established with the conviction that the future of every generation depends on the quality of leaders it intentionally prepares today.
Grace and Peace Foundation exists as a Centre for Kingdom and Leadership Development in Africa, providing a platform where individuals discover their God-given purpose, develop their leadership potential, and are equipped with biblical principles and practical skills to fulfill their divine assignments. At the heart of the Foundation's mission is the belief that leadership is stewardship, and that lasting transformation begins with transformed leaders.
The Foundation serves as the home of the Grace and Peace Leadership Institute, an institution dedicated to nurturing leaders through comprehensive academic, spiritual, and practical leadership training. The Institute offers Bachelor's Degree programmes, Diploma, Certificate, and specialized leadership development programmes designed to prepare individuals for effective service in ministry, business, government, education, and other spheres of societal influence.
Beyond academic excellence, the Leadership Institute emphasizes character formation, spiritual maturity, ethical leadership, servant leadership, and Kingdom values. Students are challenged not only to acquire knowledge but also to cultivate wisdom, integrity, and the discipline required to lead with excellence in an increasingly complex world.
Central to the Foundation's mission is bridging the leadership gap between the present generation of leaders and the emerging generation. Through mentorship, discipleship, coaching, conferences, leadership summits, research, and practical ministry experiences, Grace and Peace Foundation intentionally facilitates the transfer of wisdom, values, experience, and vision from seasoned leaders to those whom God is preparing for future responsibilities.
Inspired by the biblical account in 1 Kings 1:28–35, where King David intentionally prepared and commissioned Solomon to succeed him, the Foundation believes that leadership succession should never be accidental but deliberate. Every generation carries a responsibility to identify, nurture, shape, empower, and properly position the next generation of leaders to carry the baton of leadership with wisdom, courage, and faithfulness.
Today, Grace and Peace Foundation continues to impact lives across Nigeria and beyond by raising transformational leaders who are spiritually grounded, intellectually equipped, emotionally mature, and socially responsible. The Foundation remains committed to building a generation of Kingdom leaders who will influence every sector of society while advancing God's purpose throughout Africa and the nations of the world.
